4. What is your background (education, career, etc.) and how does it contribute to your art?

I am a senior at Memphis College of Art and am currently looking for a career in the field of animation.  I attended private (Catholic) schools through out elementary and high school.

My final project tells of the misadventures of a little ghost who attempts to achieve his first scare

7. What are you currently working on?

I am currently working on completing my BFA project for my graduating year at Memphis College of Art.

8. How has your work changed over time?

Subject matter and scenery wise I think it’s more genuine and “realistic” as opposed to the more random and surrealistic style I used to have.

9. Tell us about a seminal experience you’ve had has an artist.

Winning 1st Place in a poster contest in 5th grade.  The contest was held by a church to come up with a piece for a ‘Feed the Children’ food drive.  My poster consisted of a blue genie flying over a landscape and giving fruit and vegetables to children.

10. Who is your favorite artist?

Salvadore Dali

11. If you could work with any artist (past or present) who would it be?

For a painter I would work with Salvador Dali and for animation I would work with Ralph Bakshi

12. What is your favorite artwork?

Destino, an animated collaboration between Walt Disney and Salvadore Dali in 1945.

13. What inspires you?

It can be different things at different times.  I don’t think I have one specific thing that inspires me all together.
